we have got to give a tremendous "attaboy" to 'Old Pete, our newly elected Treasurer who played a pivotal role with the planning, organization and execution of the "Moving Wall Experience." Pete was working continually behind the scenes with his long hours of "watches" while at the same time returning to greet visitors and veterans for the daily events. Pete was instrumental in supporting many veterans and visitors with their transition to the "Wall" which for many was quite difficult. Always on hand to lend support and encouragement, Pete participated with both the set up and taking down of this "Moving Wall" following the direct orders of Colonel Hellman with dignity and respect. Pete has always been a contributor and ready to provide the Chapter with any assistance when called. Pete has the distinction of being the oldest current member of our Chapter, being one of the original founding members. I must add this note, never before has the Chapter been flush with green with Pete at the helm. Unlike our past treasurer who was rumored to have used the funds for personal gain, which I do not believe Bruce did, the Chapter is again healthy to help Veterans in need. The picture of Pete and his lovely bride Carol was just taken weeks ago when they visited the "Wall" in Washington. Semper Fi Pete and thanks for a "Job Well Done."
