we send a tremendous thank you to Karen Nash of Pacific View Memorial Park for her unselfish efforts in helping to make the "Moving Wall Experience" an unforgettable experience for us, the veterans and their families.  Karen was a tremendous asset who involved herself in every facet of this tremendous operation.  She played an integral part in making the events run smoothly and spent tireless hours supporting our members on nite and morning watch.  She became an "honorary" member while keeping the late "watches" company and putting up with their yarns and embellished stories!  She made us feel welcomed and never shied away from the tremendous work and tasks that needed to be accomplished.  On take down day, she graciously received the "Colors" from Colonel "Bo" Hellman, CO 1stCbtEngBn, destined to be deliverd to Elaine Roach-Clark, for her surviving son, and brother of PFC Joel Brattain, US Army, killed in Iraq. Karen had tears in her eyes. tears of pride and love of her Country and the veterans who sacrificed so much for the freedoms that we enjoy today.  Karen, you are a wonderful person and we were proud to "serve" with you this past week. You will forever be remembered for your outstanding spirit and "can do" attitude and for taking special care of a bunch of weather beaten old war horses and you will forever be "one of our boys".......we will forever be grateful........Semper Fi     Chapter 785 sends PS.  Cornell........what can we say of you that has not been said so many times before. You are a true American Patriot and will forever be part of our Chapter.  Where we go, you go, as you are truly "family" and loved by us all.  You are recognized by us and the community as an individual that appreciates this Country so much that you sacrifice your own personal needs to take care of our "Country's Veterans."  You are a commendable and treasured soul and one of our treasured "assets" in the Chapter..........Semper Fi my friend.
