The team captains for this year’s Homeless Heroes team are: JR Martinez, of Dancing with the Stars, and a Veteran of the U.S. Army, Mark Valley, most recently seen on Harry’s Law, and a Veteran of the U.S. Army, and Jon Huertas, starring in Castle, and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. It’s going to be a fantastic event!

If you know people who would like to sign up that aren’t union members or Veterans, but are still supportive of our efforts and want to join us, please have them sign up on the United Way website and they can join our team by clicking on “Homewalkers and Teams” under the “Our HomeWalkers” section. Please note, they will have to pay the $25 fee, $30 if they want to run (pedometer included).
We are also adding in an incentive this year! For every person/family that signs up, if they are able to recruit other walkers, we will give them a free ticket for this year’s Grand Raffle (flyer attached). Please be sure to let people know that if they do have extra walkers, who are union members or Veterans and their families, to sign up to have them register at http://www.laborcommunityservicesla.org and under the “Comments” section, be sure the registrar enters in the person’s name that referred them to sign up. Please note; to qualify for the free raffle ticket, the referred person must show on the day of the event.
