AB 13/AB 27

Hello All,
After nearly three years of fighting for legislation that would allow in-state tuition waivers for Veterans here in California, the Governor included the appropriate language in the Budget Act of 2015 (SB 81). Veterans will no longer need to fret that they will be ineligible to receive their Post 9/11 GI Bill funding from the Federal Government. Our office has been fighting tirelessly to pass legislation that would enable California colleges at all levels to offer in-state tuition waivers for Veterans attending college in California. Without this waiver ALL Veterans in California, resident or not, would lose the ability to utilize their Post 9/11 GI Bill funding for college.
