Each wreath placed at a veterans headstone is a gift, from one appreciative American family, to another who knows what it means to serve and sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy each and every day.

In this video,http://youtu.be/Em35ZHekDO8 WAA Chairman Wayne Hanson shares the challenge we are facing – to honor all veterans at Arlington National Cemetery this December, the 150th anniversary of those hallowed grounds becoming our Nation’s veterans cemetery.

Here are the key points, and we need your help to challenge your friends to do the same.

This will be the 23rd year of placing wreaths at Arlington, and the 150th anniversary
The Government does not pay for the wreaths to be placed – private citizens make the gift and we need your help
Last year we placed 143,000 wreaths but the goal in 2014 is do all sections (230,000 wreaths)
Many families know the pain of being without loved ones during the holiday season – it is the least we can do, and every stone represents a family, a story, and a deserving veteran.
You can help us by sharing this post and challenging your friends to do their part
If you would like to place a wreath at Arlington AND wear a t-shirt to help educate about the mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach – you can order our exclusive “What Is A Veterans’ Wreath” t-shirt from Booster.com (http://booster.com/veteranswreath)
