Redondo Beach will observe Veterans Day 2014 at the Veterans Memorial in beautiful Veterans Park at the beach at 1 PM on Tuesday, the 11th of November. The solemn observance will include reflection and remembrance, music, commentary and honors to all those members of the military who served their country. Veterans Day is a time to honor our military veterans.

Keynote speaker will be Captain Martin Hardy, USN, Commanding Officer of Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station. Redondo Beach's Sister City of Ensenada, Mexico will unveil their gift to the Redondo Beach Veterans Memorial as part of the event. Local elected officials and other military dignitarys will also participate.

The Redondo High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC and Boy Scouts are supporting Veterans Day. The Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes and Drums and Redondo High Chorale will perform.

The ceremony will also acknowledge the three year anniversary of the new Memorial.

Donations and contributions still being accepted for the Redondo Beach Veterans Memorial. Sponsorships available along with purchase of Memorial Bricks.

The service will be followed by a BBQ picnic sponsored by the Redondo Elks. The BBQ is free for all veterans and members of the military. A $5 donation from all others. BBQ RSVP to Karen Buchanan, 208-473-6626. Open to the public. Media invited.
