CalVet, U.S. Vets Sponsor Female Veteran Stand Down

EVENT: In partnership with U. S. Vets, the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) will sponsor the 2012 Female Veteran Stand Down, “Women with a Purpose. ” This 2nd annual Stand Down will bring together service providers to offer free medical, mental health, dental, nutrition, housing, employment, legal and financial services to female veterans.

WHAT: FREE Workforce Services: employer Q&A, interview techniques, resume development; Legal Services: child support, traffic violation, criminal infractions, credit counseling, veterans’ benefits; Health & Wellness: stress reduction, massage, hair therapy, manicures, make-up, dress for success.
