Call In Day May 17th, 2022
Call to Mobilization for the passage of Honoring Our PACT Act, H.R. 3967
On behalf of the Vietnam Veterans of America Board of Directors, I am requesting that on May 17, 2022, starting at 9:00 am (EST), please call your U.S. Senator and seek their support for H.R. 3967, The Honoring Our PACT Act, when the bill comes to the floor of the Senate for passage in early June.
H.R. 3967 passed the House of Representatives on March 3, 2022, by a 256-174 vote. If the bill passes the Senate, it will go to the President’s desk.
Veterans who served in Vietnam and were exposed to Agent Orange and other herbicides have been deprived of their right to access VA benefits and healthcare due to the VA’s refusal to follow its own research. If the VA does not act, we must compel Congress to take action. The passage of the Honor our PACT Act of H.R. 3967 is one of the most important efforts that we can wholeheartedly support in order to ensure that the Veterans Benefits Administration recognizes the toxic exposure of future military servicemembers as presumptive service conditions incurred in the line of duty.
