This year marks the Thirtieth Anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. To commemorate this event, and in honor of all who served, and especially those who made the supreme sacrifice for their county. Chapter 691 Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc. will perform a short memorial service at 11:00 am by the Merced County Veterans Memorials in the Courthouse Park, Saturday, March 12th.
Celebrate Armed Forces Day and Support Our Troops on Saturday, May 21, 2005 with the Merced County Veterans Information Fair. Enjoy a Bar-B-Q by Chapter 691, featuring a special guest appearance by the "Singing Blue Star Moms". Enjoy the day with food, information and entertainment for all at the American Legion Hall, from 11am to 4pm, 939 W. Main Street, Merced, Ca. Eat-in or take-out all proceeds will go to help needy Veterans, their families, and hospitalized Veterans in the Fresno VA Hospital.
